I grew up on the west side of Chicago in the ABLA Housing Projects (Tha Village). I am parent of a crime victim, my two year old daughter was caught in the crossfire of a gang shooting in 1993. I have spoken at violence against our youth rallies, I was featured in a 20/20 News segment on violence against our youth. I am inspired by organizations like Ceasefire, Purpose Over Pain, and KRS 1 stop the violence movement.

I wont to make sure my daughter was here for a reason. To help save our children from senseless violence.

Yo,

In order for Real Peace to prevail in "Tha Hood" someone is going to have to devise a plan that reaches Gang Members rather under the 6 /or/ 5. When you really look at it most people and folks in the hood join Gangs for Economical Reasons.

Most Programs are only Social in nature, they don't address the facts that kids are in the hood hungry with nothing to do! I don't know about you, but I'm tried of joining "Fake Programs" that's only active but not Pro-active!
