The Chicago Music Commission is dedicated to nurturing and serving Chicago’s music community, and promoting it to the world.
and the goals for Chicago Music are...

  • To create an effective Music Office for Chicago.
  • To provide information about live music performances, venues available for private events, booking agents who represent Chicago musicians, locations for film and television, recording studios and retail record stores.
  • To serve as an invaluable resource and information center for tourists, convention planners, record labels and producers.
  • To function as a liaison between live performance venues and City agencies in matters of code and license compliance.
  • Strenghten and build upon the global branding of Chicago as a first-class music city for living, for tourism and for conventions as well as a premium destination for the professional business of creating music.
  • To provide educational seminars and networking mechanisms for the Chicago music industry.

Music is the Soul of the Human Existence... Since the beginning of time Music was used to give praise to God. For we read in the Holy Scriptures that Lucifer was among other things a Beautiful Arch-angel and Musician.
